Development of automatic warp drawing-in and warp tying technology

After the warp yarn is sized, it needs to go through some preparations before it can be put on the loom for weaving. The warp density of high-end fashion fabrics is very high, requiring the warp yarn to be able to achieve clear opening during weaving, and the requirements for the quality of the warp beam and the warp opening are very high. When a new fabric variety begins to be produced, the warp yarn must be re-threaded into some original parts on the loom, such as healds, dropper pieces, steel buckles, etc. The function of the warp tying machine is to tie the new and old warp yarns when the original fabric variety continues to be produced and the old warp beam is used up and needs to be replaced with a new one.

The traditional warp drawing is very primitive. Each yarn on the weaving shaft must be manually inserted into the heald, dropper, steel buckle and other weaving components one by one according to the requirements. The speed and output are low, and the quality cannot be guaranteed. It is not suitable for the requirements of modern high-speed, high-quality and high-performance shuttleless looms. It is the throat to realize the automation and high output of modern high-speed looms. Contemporary warp drawing and warp tying have been fully automated and the warp drawing has been completed by mechanical movements similar to robots. The speed of automatic warp drawing is very fast and can be more than 600 yarns/minute. The fully automatic warp drawing machine and warp tying machine were exhibited at the 2007 Munich and 2011 Barcelona ITMA, showing the prospect of weaving engineering automation and making new progress in weaving automation. It has promoted the process of weaving engineering automation.
