Besides fabric surface defects (neps, neps) caused by the raw yarn and color differences, spots, and creases caused by dyeing, weaving defects are a key area for defect control. Weaving defects refer to fabric surface defects formed during the weaving process, directly affecting the fabric's appearance, evenness, and internal quality. The following is a systematic framework for analyzing weaving defects.

I. Classification and Characteristics of Weaving Defects:

Based on their formation mechanism, weaving defects can be divided into five dimensions:

1.Warp Defects: Longitudinal defects caused by warp problems or improper weaving operations. Common warp defects are as follows.

Morphology: Linear gaps formed by warp yarn breakage.

Causes: Insufficient warp strength, failure of stop warps, excessive warp friction.

Double warp/Thick warp/Thin warp

Textile Weaving

Appearance: A single warp yarn is significantly thicker/thinner than normal yarn.

Causes: Uneven yarn distribution during spinning, not effectively removed during warping; warp shrinkage/loosening.

Textile Weaving

Appearance: Uneven warp tension causing bubbling/wavy patterns on the fabric surface. Causes: Improper back beam adjustment, uneven warp beam winding, misaligned warp yarns.
